Reclining Office Chair

This is something that may be of interest to those of you who spend a lot of your time in an office environment.

It may be you have a home office and reap the many rewards of being able to work in the comfort of your own home without the stressful daily commute to work that the majority of office workers still have to undergo. Or it may be that you run a business that requires you to spend a lot of your time in your office premises. Or simply that you work in an office on a day to day basis.

Well, whatever your association with the office, whether its in an office block downtown, in a suburban industrial zone or in the comfort of your own home, unless you love standing up all day, you are going to need a comfortable chair to sit in for many long hours every day! This article is all about that humble item of furniture that we just can't do without, the office chair!

A Comfortable Reclining Office Chair

When you think about the huge variety of office chairs that are available to purchase for your office, it can be quite staggering. You have to weight up the pros and cons of various designs of the home office chair, executive office chairs, ergonomic office chairs, leather office chairs etc. You have to look at whether they are going to be comfortable to sit in for several hours at a stretch. Also, they are going to have to be sturdy, hard wearing and adjustable for height and whether they will need to have armrests or not.

Reclining office chairs are probably the ultimate in comfortable office chairs as they allow you to lean back in them without toppling over and this gives your back a welcome respite from what would otherwise be hours of sitting bolt upright in a less comfortable office chair.

Reclining office chairs that also swivel, which is probably most of them nowadays and the fact that they are almost always on wheels means you don't even need to get up out of the chair to grab an item from an adjacent desk or even go sliding across the office floor like some demented student having a ton of fun to go chat to the girl across the way!

The Benefits of Using a Reclining Office Chair

Equipping your office with a comfortable, ergonomic, reclining office chair brings several benefits to your business and you your health.

For starters, there is the comfort aspect. When you are more comfortable, you tend to work better and be more productive with your time. This is evident when you see people with less than comfortable office chairs that spend a lot of time moving about simply because they can't get really comfortable. This is a distraction and can depreciate the working environment and waste time that could otherwise be spent being productive for want of a comfortable chair!

Then there is the benefit to health. A good fitting and correctly adjusted office chair helps prevent the user from slumping or leaning forward too far. Both these actions can result in strain on the middle and lower back which can, over time, lead to severe back pain problems. This is something that can keep a person off work and that is something, if you work for yourself, that you cannot afford to do.

So just those two benefits far outweigh the cost cutting idea of buying a cheap office chair, which may result in a far more costly period where you are unable to work through back pain! Sometimes it is false economy to buy cheap, especially when it comes down to your own personal comfort and productivity.

I just set up my home office today so I can get better organized and I could definitely use a reclining office chair, I remember sitting in a ergonomic chair on my previous job and it made all the difference in the world, especially since I sat at a computer screen all day.

I use one myself and can certainly agree that the difference in comfort especially during a long working session is marked from using a regular office chair.
